1. In your own words what is OIA Gives™ ?
It is a dream that is shared amongst the tribe, bringing people together to help the plight of the less than fortunate with kindness and compassion.
2. What do you think has motivated you to join OIA Gives™ ?
I have always been aware but never really knowing; reaching a stage in my life where I feel I can give something. Working alongside with someone who has so much commitment and enthusiasm for her own cause, makes me realize I could help.
3. What experience do you bring to this new role as a volunteer i.e custodian of OIA Gives™ ideals?
No real experiences as a volunteer. However I have life experiences. For example one of my passions is scuba diving I regularly get involved training people of all ages young and old. I am committed driven and focus when anything catches my attention. Are you ready OIA !!??
4. In your opinion what makes OIA Gives™ different?
Personal touch from people that know Africa, who appear committed and passionate in making peoples lives better. Planting the seed and watching it grow from strength to strength.
5. What are your hopes for OIA Gives™ in the short and long run?
I want to learn more about the cause, what I can bring to it as well as what I can get from it. I am hoping for a trip to Africa to see firsthand if I'm making a difference to reach out and help as many people as possible.
6. Why do you do it?
I think everyone should be given the chance to have a decent start in life.
7. Why it is so important?
Life is precious, everyone should have an opportunity to build a decent foundation for the life they want to lead.
8. What comes to mind when you think of OIA Gives™?
Crammed suit cases, brimming with love, opportunity and hope !
