OIA Gives™ is a result driven charity organisation, that is focused on changing the lives of less privileged children. We focus our resources in guaranteeing the education of 7 less privileged children, as well as providing them with the resources they need to succeed in school, from tuition, to counselling as well as mentoring. So as the proverbial saying goes “Give a man a fish and he would be hungry tomorrow, however if you teach him how to fish he would never be in need”.
These results are quantifiable by how many students we help through the educational system and as a result we are in the long-term ensuring these individuals become assets to their society even though they might have been dealt a poor hand in the Russian roulette of this game called life.
How is it possible?
We find that the best way to sponsor a child through their educational journey, is to pair each child with an ambassador. The ambassador acts as a torch bearer, raising awareness and funds to save enough to help the child through their education as well as their private tuition, maintenance and upkeep.
WHAT KIND OF EVENTS CAN
I PARTAKE IN TO RAISE FUNDS?
The opportunities are endless. We have compiled a concise list of the most successful ideas so please have a read https://oiagives.com/fundraiser_pdf/
IF I AM AN AMBASSADOR
DO I HAVE TO PROVIDE THE FUNDS?
This is a commitment, to take on helping another life with their education through to University level. The ambassadors come together as a collective to provide for the children we support.
The provision can either be funding the fees or providing the funds for both the tuition and fees of the child you sponsor. Learn more
WHAT ARE OTHER AMBASSADORS CURRENTLY DOING?
Two of our ambassadors are partaking in a fitness 365 day challenge to raise awareness & funds. Another ambassador did a 100 mile bike ride (not as easy as it sounds! hahaha), I partook in a bakeathon (it is definitely a real thing). The passion to effect a change is most important.
“Too often, we underestimate the power of the smallest act of caring, and how one small act of kindness or compassion could have the potential to turn a life around. To know that we’re all in this together is a wonderful thing because we understand that together we can make a difference.”
